The 2711P-K4M20A8 has a system memory of 256 random access memories (RAM) and 512 non-volatile memories, with approximately 73 MB of free user memory. This system memory can be expanded by installing a Secure Digital (SD) card. A USB flash drive can also be used as removable storage by plugging into any available USB port.
The operator terminal is equipped with various communication interfaces such as one (1) RS232 and one (1) Ethernet communication port. Two (2) USB ports are also provided allowing for the installation of the previously mentioned USB and Keyboard and USB.
The 2711P-K4M20A8 has a visualization screen which is a monochrome LCD and keypad assembly provided as the main operator interface.
Ethernet/IP (Ethernet Industrial Protocol) is an open industrial network that supports real-time I/O messaging as well as message exchange. The Ethernet port connects to controllers on an Ethernet/IP network through the use of network and standard Ethernet connections. The port can also be used for application transfer and printing. If another Ethernet port is required, the 2711P-RN20 Ethernet communication module can be used for 700 to 1500 terminals. This module has its own unique IP address. This port has an RJ45 10/100ba se-T connector for network communication and supports MDI/MDI-X connections.
