The Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 is an SLC 5/04 controller with integrated 16 KB user memory designed to handle up to 4096 inputs and outputs. This controller is part of the modular SLC 500 programmable logic controller (PLC).
The 1747-L541 is ideally suited for use in medium-sized applications because the controller is capable of implementing distributed IO applications through the use of communication adapters on the CPU rack and communication scanners on the IO rack.The RS232 communication port can be configured for DF1 and DH485 point-to-point topologies, while the DH+ communication supports both long-range and multipoint topologies.
Alternatively, the RS232 communications port can be used with the 1761-NET-AIC to allow serial ports to be connected to multipoint networks. For the RS232 port and 57.6 kilobaud, Node Address = 1. For Data Highway Plus (DH+), the communications port default settings are No Handshake, 19.2 kilobaud, CRC Error Check, Duplicate Packet, Detect Open, and No Parity.
The 1747-L541 controller requires an SLC 500 rack to mount and connect to the electronic backplane. It also requires a system power supply to power the processor’s internal circuitry through the electronic backplane.
This controller is UL listed for safety in the U.S. and Canada and is CE and C-Tick marked.
