The first ESWB model IS420ESWBH1A switch is the second hardware version of the IONet switch. This switch consists of 16 100/100Base-TX RJ45 copper ports. This switch only has one fiber optic port, which is described as a multimode 100Base-FX port with an LC type connector. The fiber optic port is the only significant difference between the five ESWB models.
Like previous ESWx switch hardware models, the IS420ESWBH1A can also be installed in various configurations, parallel or vertical. There are differences in which clamps can be used in vertical installation. The clamp used in the vertical installation direction with the ESWB switch is the 259B2451BVP4 clamp. Please note that when installed as a replacement, this switch can be installed in a DIN rail or panel mount.
When IS420ESWBH1A is used with Ethernet networks, it can be used with up to three networks, which will be equivalent to controller redundancy for dual controllers, simplex controllers, or TMR controllers.
