The T8800C series application extender processor triple redundant ICS system control module is located in the processor slot on the left side of the extender chassis and provides an interface between the extender and controller chassis. This module has fault tolerance and HIFT TMR architecture. Diagnosis, monitoring, and testing provide fast fault identification. The backup module is configured to support automatic and manual repair strategies. The expander processor module is connected to the expander interface module through the expander interface hot chain cable TC-301 and the expander interface adapter unit T8312. The data transmission rate is 250Mbps. The internal voltage of the expander processor module comes from the expansion chassis backplane through the module connector. Stable green – healthy slices. Flashing red – corresponds to the fault in the slice. When the module is in standby mode, it remains green. TxRx has three LEDs, one for each of the three channels, indicating communication activity on each processor channel. When the module is in an active state: green – receive activity red – transmit activity (when both appear at the same time, the LED will display amber for receive and send activity) off – no activity or failure When the module is in standby mode, no transmit activity (red LED) will be observed. The communication cable is used to connect the controller and expander components. The TC-301 communication cable is shown. The large hood connector on the left is metal, double wide, and connects to the back of the expander chassis and its expander processor (T8310).
