The XMV16 vibration status monitoring module provides 16 dynamic channels and 4 tachometer (speed) channels, all of which can be independently configured. The XMV16 processing module is always used as a set of modules (card pairs) along with the relevant XIO16T input/output modules. Features: 16 dynamic channels and 4 speed channels. Each dynamic channel and each dual channel can have up to 20 processing outputs (16 12 per xmv). Asynchronous (fixed frequency) or synchronous (sequential tracking) sampling is used to simultaneously collect data on all channels, with 24 bit data collection, high signal-to-noise ratio data processing, and high-resolution FFT of up to 6400 lines per 500 ms. In order to achieve some of the advantages provided by lower and higher bit lengths, many instruction sets have different bit widths for integer and floating-point data, allowing CPUs that implement instruction sets to have different bit widths for different parts of the device. For example, the IBM system/360 instruction set is mainly 32-bit, but supports 64-bit floating-point values to improve the accuracy and range of floating-point numbers. The System/360 Model 65 has an 8-bit adder for decimal and fixed-point binary operations and a 60-bit adder for floating-point operations. Many later CPU designs used similar mixed bit widths, especially when processors were designed for general purposes and required a reasonable balance of integer and floating-point functions.
