VMIVME-2540 is an intelligent digital input/output board with VMEbus slave interface, which can provide digital signal measurement and signal generation functions for 4, 8, 16, or 24 channels. These measurement and signal output functions are implemented by a series of AM9513A system timing controllers (STCs) and related interface logic. The onboard VMIVME-2540 local CPU (68HC000 microprocessor) provides a command driven user interface to execute circuit board functions, eliminating the need for users to directly program the system timing controller. Users configure measurement, timing, and output functions for each channel through a simple memory mapping interface consisting of commands, command states, parameters, and return measurements.
