The IC693APU302 is an intelligent motion-compatible 2-axis positioning module (APM) from GE Fanuc, part of the 90-30 series. It is afully programmable module consisting of 2-axis motion control functions, allowing complex PLC logic functions to be solved in one integrated system.The IC693APU302 can operate in follower or standard mode. In follower mode, the module provides a high performance “electronic actuator”, which is very convenient for slave-master applications. The user can select the preferred mode in the configuration software.

The Axis Positioning Module can be accommodated by any CPU in the 90-30 series or by a remote baseboard. There are three APM modules with embedded CPUs (311, 313 or 323). For 331 or higher CPUs, there are eight modules in a system, up to three per baseboard. up to 10 motion programs can be created and stored in an APM module. For APM module configuration, use Versa Pro software version 1.1 or higher.

APM cables consist of 24-pin I/O connectors, cables, and 25-pin D-type terminal block connectors. Examples of these cables include the IC10CBL3 in size 693 ft/311 m; the IC693CBL319 in size 3 ft/1 m; the IC693CBL317 in size 10 ft/3 m with 8-inch externally shielded pigtails; and the C693CBL320 in size 3 ft/1 m with 8-inch externally shielded pigtails. 24-pin I/O cables are used to build custom length cables and are available in three different kits: crimp wire sockets, solder hole sockets, and IDC (ribbon) sockets.
