The IC693MDL753 I/O module is a 32-point digital I/O module. General Electric has developed the IC693MDL753I/O module for the General Electric Programmable Logic Controller or PLCS Series 90-30. The module has a peak current draw rate of 260 million amperes when it uses 5 volts DC supplied by the PLC backplane. When the output points are in the normal state, each output point draws 16 milliamps of current, while each output point indicator draws 4.7 milliamps of current. 32 points are divided into 4 groups of 8 outputs. When running 24 volts dc, each group of points draws 16.5 million amperes when all eight outputs in the group are in the normal state. When running 12 volts DC, each group draws 9.6 million amps when all 8 outputs in the group are in state.

The IC693MDL753 is a digital output module for the 90-30 series programmable logic controller (PLC) family. The module has thirty-two (32) positive logic output channels and produces an output voltage range of 102 – 28.8 with a nominal voltage of 12 – 24 VDC.The IC693MDL753 was formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation and has been acquired by Emerson Automation. The module comes with output grouping, specifically four (4) groups of eight (8) outputs each. Each output group is isolated at 250 volts with 100 volts between the field side and the logic side or optical isolation.The IC693MDL753 has an output current rating of 0.5 amps per point, 4 amps maximum per group, and 3 amps maximum per common pin. It generates 5.4 amps of inrush current for up to 10 milliseconds with a pass-state voltage drop of 0.3 VDC. Leakage current in the off state is 0.1 mA, and the on and off response times for both signal transitions are 0.5 ms typical, and the IC693MDL753 consumes 260 mA of internal power from the 5 VDC backplane. The IC693MDL753 is compatible as a local I/O and distributed I/O module. It can be installed in any of the available slots in the chassis, except for the designated CPU, communications adapter, and specialty module slots.The IC693MDL753 occupies one slot and can be installed in as many as desired, subject to host controller I/O capacity and memory limitations. For connecting electrical loads to this discrete output module, the recommended manufacturer’s cable assembly is IC693CBL315.
