The 3500/92 Communication Gateway Module provides extensive communication capabilities for all monitored racks, as well as process control and integrated values and states using Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communication capabilities. It also allows for Ethernet communication configuration software and data acquisition software with 3500 racks. The supported protocols include: Modicon Modbus protocol (through serial communication) | Modbus/TCP protocol (using a variant of serial Modbus for TCP/IP Ethernet communication) Proprietary Bentley Nevada protocol (used for communication using 3500 rack configuration and data collection software package) 3500/92 Ethernet connection is RJ45 connection for 10BASE-T star configuration Ethernet. The 3500/92 supports communication interfaces, communication protocols, and other functions of the original 3500/90, except for the Modbus register. The 3500/92 now has a configurable Modbus registration utility that can provide the same functionality as the Modbus registers that were originally processed by the main values.
