Each digital output module performs a specific type of output voter diagnosis (OVD) at each point. This safety feature allows unrestricted operation of the TRICONEX 9563-810 case under various multiple faults. Usually, during OVD execution, the command state of each point is temporarily reversed one after another on an output driver. The loopback on the module allows each TRICONEX 9563-810 microprocessor to read the output value of that point to determine if there is a potential fault in the output circuit.
