The 3500/64M Dynamic Pressure Monitor is a single slot, four channel monitor that receives input pressure sensors from high temperatures and uses this input to drive alarms. One measurement variable for each channel of the monitor is bandpass dynamic pressure. You can use the 3500 rack configuration software to configure the bandpass angular frequency and an additional notch filter. The monitor provides an application of a recorder output control system. The basic machine information required for operation, maintenance personnel, and various parameters generated by limiting the input signal of each channel according to configuration, are called the measured variables. You can configure alarm and danger settings for each active measurement variable. The low and high filtering modes are option channels. Channel 1 and channel 2 form a pair, and channels 3 and 4 are another pair. You may choose different bandpass option channel pairs on each channel. However, channels must operate in the same filtering mode internally.
You can set up signal processing so that the monitor only provides channel 1 input to all four channels. This feature is called cascading mode and is represented in 3500 as 1>ALL rack configuration software. In the “Cascading Mode”, you can choose the option of filtering mode only for channel pairs. A sensor provides input filtering requirements for four different channels. Therefore, you can configure four separate bandpass filter options and four independent full-scale ranges, including one sensor input. These two filtering methods provide different filtering qualities.
