AL81G is very popular in high-speed scanning using high-frequency ultrasonic signals. It is most commonly used to digitize signals from UT340 or other high-frequency pulse receivers. It has a single channel digitization function with 8-bit resolution, and a sampling frequency of up to 1 GHz. This provides a useful dynamic range of approximately 40 dB, suitable for digitizing RF signals with a center frequency of up to approximately 200 MHz. AL81G has a single input with orthogonal encoder or stepper and directional signals. This function enables the digitizer to keep up with the motion of the high-speed scanning system.
