BCU-02, BCU-12, and BCU-22 are control units used to control converters on fiber optic links. They contain integrated branch unit functions for collecting and storing real-time data from converter modules to assist in fault tracking and analysis. The data is stored on the SDHC storage card inserted into the SD card slot and can be analyzed by ABB service personnel. The number of fiber optic connections for the control unit varies: BCU type BCU-02bcu -12bcu -22 The control unit requires an external 24V DC power supply. It has three optional I/O expansion slots, encoders and fieldbus adapters, and a removable storage unit. For example, if you need to replace the control unit, you can preserve the parameter settings by moving the memory unit from the defective control unit to a new control unit. The Drive to Drive Link (XD2D) is a daisy chain RS-485 transmission line that allows basic master/slave communication with one master and multiple slaves. The control unit also has an option slot for connecting to the RDCO DDCS communication option board.
