The 15 slot card file accepts two HPMM cards and UCN interface modules that make up the HPMM, and accommodates up to 13 IOP cards. The card slots are numbered from 1 to 15 starting from the far left. The high-performance communication/control and high-performance I/O link cards occupy slots 1 and 2, while the HPM UCN interface module is installed below slot 1 of its 50 pin connector. Slots 3 to 15 can accommodate IOP cards. The IOP card slot uses digital I/O link interface addresses 3-15 and binary I/O link interface addresses 2-14. When an HPMM card is installed, the card file is specified as a 15 slot HPMM card file.
