The MasterBus 300 (MB300) communication protocol is also implemented in the System 800xA controller AC 800M, which is used for communication between the controller and the operator station in the installation based on Advantage OCS. MB 300 communication is achieved through the communication interface CI855 in AC 800M, which is connected to the CEX bus through a backplane.
The substrate TP853 accommodates RJ45 connectors for two Ethernet ports for network redundancy and provides simple DIN rail installation.
A key benefit of the CI855 interface is that it allows for peer-to-peer communication between the new factory section with System 800xA using AC 800M controllers and the existing section using MB 300 based controllers such as Advantage controller 410, Advantage controller 450, and MasterPiece 200/1.
