IC693DNM200 is a DeviceNet Master Module. This module is a single slot communication module that is part of the 90-30 series programmable logic controller (PLC) platform, previously manufactured by GE Fanuc and now manufactured by Emerson Automation. This module is equipped with a single DeviceNet terminal. It also has one (1) RS232 9-pin D-shell female port used as a module service port.
IC693DNM200 supports all data rates of the DeviceNet protocol, especially the transmission rates of 125K, 250K, and 500K. Each slave device’s main device can transmit up to 255 bytes of input data and 255 bytes of output data, and can transmit up to 3972 bytes of input data and 3972 bytes of output data to the main module. In addition, a total of 126 I/O connections can be established using this module, as it can communicate with up to 63 slave devices, with each slave device being able to allocate up to two (2) I/O stations. The module supports and can configure data connections such as polling, gating, looping, or COS. This DeviceNet main module also supports explicit messaging, unconnected message managers (UCMM), and one (1) proxy connection per slave unit.
In addition, the module can operate in dual mode and act as both the master and slave stations. Fault behavior can be configured specifically during communication loss to provide acceptable system response in the event of the aforementioned error. This module also comes with upgradable firmware, allowing module updates and error fixes to be downloaded through the RS232 service port.
