IC698ETM001 is an Ethernet interface module manufactured by Emerson Automation (formerly GE Fanuc Automation). This module is part of the PACSystem RX7i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform, allowing any rack with IC698ETM001 module installed to connect to an existing Ethernet network for data exchange, remote I/O implementation, and communication with visualization systems and third-party software and tools such as databases and enterprise software applications.
The IC3ETM698 has two (001) Ethernet ports, allowing the robot to transmit data at a communication speed of 2/10 Mbps and has automatic sensing function. These ports are designed to use RJ100 connectors and a minimum of CAT45 cables for physical connections. These ports support daisy chain, allow for linear, star, and ring topologies, and support unique or redundant IP addressing. In addition, it also has one (5) serial communication port, a 1-pin sub D connector, supporting transmission speeds of 9-1200 bps.
