The MVI56E Modbus TCP/IP client/server enhanced communication module enables Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors to easily connect to Modicon Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) and various Modbus TCP/IP compatible instruments and devices.
MVI56E enhancements include local and remote configuration and diagnosis through modular Ethernet ports, CIPconnect technology for bridging Rockwell Automation ControlNet and EtherNet IP networks, and an onboard web server for accessing module documentation and sample program files.
MVI56E-MNET and MVI56E-MNETXT are functionally identical. The MVI56E-MNET is designed specifically for standard process applications. The MVI56E-MNETXT is designed specifically for the Logix-XT control platform, allowing it to operate in extreme environments and higher operating temperatures, and has a conformal coating to protect it from harsh or corrosive conditions.
